My name is Yarelis Colon. I am a 2024 graduate of Reading High School and I would love to become a professional dog groomer or pursue a career in pediatric nursing. I am fluent in both Spanish and English. I have a strong passion for animals which began during my childhood in Puerto Rico. I often saw stray dogs on the streets that were malnourished and in poor health. Those experiences inspired me to want to help them. With the support of my parents, I was able to rescue and care for many stray dogs. At one point providing a home for up to 15 dogs. I currently have one dog. A chihuahua named Firu and five cats, Pina, Chivi, Coco Chanel, Star, and Michu. I truly enjoy working with animals because of the love and the joy that they bring. Even on difficult days. I believe every animal has the ability to make a positive impact on someone’s life. I look forward to caring for your pets while staying with us.
