Review #2....
**UPDATE**
I posted review #1 this morning, 11/13/25, and miraculously, within HOURS, my phone is ringing off the hook from this facility saying, "We saw your review." It still wasn't the vet or director calling, it was staff giving the same song & dance, "We are looking into this and someone will call you." Call me about what exactly?! A refund? (HA! That will never happen). Look into what exactly?! There is nothing to look into. Rusty is dead. They should have called us 5 days ago when we needed help or when we informed them Rusty died. Not now, hours after I posted a bad review. If they want to call me about cloning Rusty or bringing him back to life, I'm all for it! I would sell everything I own and pay any amount of money to bring him back. That's how much I loved him.
I'm writing this because I'm not the only one this happened to. Whoever is reading this, read ALL the reviews, not just the good ones. The tragedy that happened to me happened to many others and it happened here at Quakertown Vet Clinic! If I would have read ALL the reviews for this place, I would have NEVER brought Rusty here and he might still be alive today. I will live with that guilt for the rest of my life. Don't make the same mistakes I did. Save your pet in an emergency situation and find a better Vet-ER.
😿🧡 RIP, Rusty. 💔😭

Review #1.... Emily Kichline, DVM,
My family trusted you. We trusted your judgment, your expertise as a Vet, and the facility who employs you. Huge Mistake! My husband and I rushed our 6yo cat, Rusty, to your ER on 11/8/25. We were the only patients in the entire facility. We were taken to a room, you took our cat, and God only knows what happened after that. We waited hours for you to treat him. The ONLY reason we were at your ER was because it was the only place open in the middle of the night and Rusty needed EMERGENCY care based on his sudden symptoms. You supposedly sedated him, assessed him, and did lab work. You told us he peed & pooped (we have no proof that actually happened) and that he did not have a blockage, even though you never ordered an x-ray. You told us: his glucose was 400+, liver panel abnormal, white count abnormal, electrolytes abnormal. You also said that could be due to "stress" (because Rusty hates going to the vet). You never worked him up for anything else! Cardiac?Respiratory? Blood Clot? DKA? (Too little, too late, we got a 2nd opinion from another ER-Vet who said ALL of that should have been done asap). You did none of that! You instructed us to go home, watch him over the weekend, make sure he eats, because he will get better when he eats, and follow up with his regular vet on Monday. You discharged him home with meds to stimulate his appetite. We followed your instructions because you are the vet and we trusted you, what else were we supposed to do?! We took Rusty home and he got worse. My husband called you for help and you never returned his call. He called again and was on hold for 25 minutes. I called and finally spoke to someone at the front desk who said, "We saw Rusty's mom has been calling. It's been a night." So, even though you saw us calling it meant nothing because you never called us back. I explained to whoever was on the phone that Rusty was not getting better and looked worse! The recommendation: "bring him back, we won't charge for another eval." I'm worried about saving my cat's life and you're worried about charges?! The trust was broken. We were just there a few hours ago. EVERYTHING should have been done at that time! Hence, why we brought him in for emergency treatment in the first place. There was no emergency treatment provided by you! NONE! You sent him home and a few hours later....
HE DIED! RUSTY DIED! 💔
He would have never made the trip back there, we live far away from Quake Vet Clinic. Maybe if you gave him a thorough eval the first time around instead of a "BS check-up" he would be alive right now! You were NEGLIGENT and now he's gone! My entire family is absolutely heartbroken and devastated beyond words. This was so sudden and traumatic and we are still asking ourselves WHY?! WHAT HAPPENED?! He was only 6yo and was not chronically ill! He dressed up as a lion for Halloween! Whatever happened to him happened in a matter of 1-2 days and the care you provided made him worse! Rusty was my-4 legged son, and now he's gone. I have been physically and emotionally sick, unable to get out of bed for days, and hysterically crying non-stop! The most disgusting part: we called this place and told you guys Rusty died and the person who answered said they were reporting this situation to the director and they would have the director call us. Still no return phone call from you or the director. Neither of you had the decency to call us and say, "sorry for your loss." Both of you are repulsive. But! My credit card was charged $883 ASAP. Funny how that works. I would have paid any amount to save his life. Instead, you charged me for his death.
*PS: I got a 2nd opinion from another ER-Vet, Rusty was in DKA! A Life Threatening Emergency! His symptoms were obvious to other vets! YOU are the vet, not me! YOU missed it! YOU sent him home and ultimately killed him a few hours later! Survival rates for cats in DKA are 70% if treated asap! 95% go on to live normal lives! Please quit your career as a Vet before you harm more animals 🙏🏻.

Dr. Ian saw my cat during emergency hours to diagnose her vomiting. He was extremely friendly to both me and my pet making sure we were taken care of in an unsure time. I cant thank this team enough for giving me peace of mind and helping my girl. Thank you.
Great people all around! Well worth the extra time to get to their office. We had awesome interactions with them as a Vet ER and decided to make them our dogs doctors!
Luv them I leave in Allentown but here they take good care of my dog. ❤
I’ve been taking my dog and cats to Quakertown Veterinary Clinic for many years. The staff is very helpful and friendly. Dr. Arielle is excellent - she took such good care of my dog’s teeth !!
I was walking in Tuscorora State Park and my 3 dogs were quilled by a porcupine. I called Quakertown ER and the receptionist was calm and helpful. She said that all 3 dogs could be taken care of when we arrived. From start to finish, everyone was pleasant and accommodating. I am a retired veterinarian and have known Quakertown for many years. I had never used their ER service until now and would not hesitate to use them again if needed.
Dr. Svorr is so great with my dogs. He is gentle and takes his time, we never feel rushed!
